Jared Graves has started off his new year with another bang by winning the fourth BMX National Tour on the Gold Coast today. The Beijing Olympian also claimed the previous round held last night. Today
Graves got an early lead and managed to hold off a mid field challenge by World Cup series winner,
Sam Willoughby. Graves was chased home by Willoughby and fellow Adelaide rider,
Brian Kirkham from Adelaide who finished in second and third respectively. For Graves to finish ahead of his protégée,
Willoughby, was a relief..
“I’ve had a bit to do with Sam. He has all the talent in the world,’” said
Graves.
