Better known for her seven surfing world titles, Layne Beachley is also building a reputation as a girl power icon. Beachley's "Aim for the Stars" Foundation assists young women by supporting, inspiring and motivating them in their pursuits.
The Layne Beachley Aim for the Stars Foundation provides financial and moral assistance to girls and women across Australia to help them realise their dreams in sporting, academic, community or cultural pursuits.

Over seven years the foundation has supported the dreams of 167 women and recipients have included a glider pilot, marine biologist, racing car driver, violinist, figure skater and even a rodeo rider. In 2010 three of the 13 recipients were cyclists including two mountain bikers and a para-cyclist. Two time world mountain bike champion, Caroline Buchanan from Canberra was one of the high profile athletes. Buchanan is now focusing on BMX and aiming at the London Olympics in 2012.

Crupi Parts, Inc is proud to announce that on season 11; episode 16 of MTV's program "Made", Tyler Brown was the featured coach training a 17 year old high school girl who wanted to race BMX. The episode first aired Monday, October 18th on MTV but anyone can see the full episode by going to mtv.com and clicking on Made.

Tyler had quite the challenge getting this girl to commit to the training and learn how to ride before her big race. But Tyler's training did the trick and the girl did well for her first ever BMX race.

Tyler not only made Crupi and his other sponsors proud but we feel that he represented the best in BMX which helps to promote our sport in a positive light for those still new to the sport or not yet familiar with it. Congratulations Tyler and a job well done!

CHULA VISTA UCi SUPERcross: SAM & ALISE NAB THE PODIUM SPOTS IN WHAT MAY BE KNOWN AS "THE GREATEST MAIN EVENT OUR SPORT HAS EVER SEEN." With 134 Elite Men vying for the top-64 starting positions, just getting to race at Chula Vista's UCi Supercross, is a feat in itself. And with 14 Redline riders in that top-64, those numbers slowly dwindled down after a few bonks, crashes and eliminiations in the semis and quarters - until there were the final 8 men in the Elite main. And 3 of those eight, were Redline athletes: Australia's SAM WILLOUGHBY, France's JORIS DAUDET, and Dutch rider JELLE van GORKOM.
And what a main it was! In my four decades of watching National BMX events - I will admit that the Elite Mens main event is probably the most action-packed, position-changing, tactical BMX race I have ever witnessed!
