Weight: ????? not too light, but it ain't heavy?
What's special about the frame? Kye Forte: It's my signature frame so it's obviously what I like, built in chain tensioners in the drop outs are a nice addition. I put the bike together for Empire Of dirt using the same graphics as the completes United released at the time.
Do you do updates to the frame every year or are you happy with it? Kye Forte: happy with it, United are working on a trail frame t
hat I think I will probably use next.
Does bike weight matter much to you? Kye Forte: not really, like it to have a bit of weight specially over the bigger jumps.
Is there anything you change when you switch from riding dirt to park and back? Kye Forte: Nah I have a knobby front tyre on again, so nice to have a proper grip on the front, hated running the ramp style
tyres. I don't change back when I ride park, been tending to run my tyres a bit softer as well seeing as I mainly ride dirt these days.
When's the last time you raced BMX? Did you race this bike? Kye Forte: I have not raced BMX for a long time, I do ride the local track every now & then, I use this bike when I do. It works but racing BMX again does not appeal.
One thing I have noticed is how the short back end makes speed manuals hard through deeper jumps, can see why race bikes are so long theses days. I have been racing MTB Downhill a lot, I still like to race & pedal & got some decent results in the British series,,,,haha.
Do you have a frame saved up in an original box that you want to keep forever? Kye Forte: No, but I do keep one of all the signature models I have had, it's cool cause I can remember what events, trips they were used at etc... scratches & stickers tell a story. I also try to keep all my helmets.
Who should look into your bike, does it fit all types of riders of all sizes? Kye Forte: I guess riders who want something versatile, not a crazy steep head angle. It's a dirt bike but won't hold ya back on other things should you wish.
