Are you stoked on the way the new bike turned out?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I couldn't be more stoked on how the new bike is looking and riding. It feels so good to have a steady bike.
Once you go black, you never go back?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Is it? Damn luckily there are fuel colored hubs in the bike :)
How much different is the Haro Lineage from the HARO SD V2 that you rode before this one?
Daniel Wedemeijer: There are not that many changes on both frames. Only thing is that I used to ride 20.8 instead of 20,75 on the new one. Feels good!
Tell us something about those brakepads?
Daniel Wedemeijer: People are always suprised by how big those brake pads are.. That was my reaction the first time as well. But I can tell you, the bigger the brake pad, the better they work. Those are special made brake pads called VWP and they are only available at Paul's Boutique BMX shop. After 10 years of riding bmx I promise you these are the best brake pads.
The seat is semi soft and not one of those skinny hard plastic ones. Do you take the extra weight and comfort over a light and hard plastic skinny seat?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I somehow never understood the plastic seats... And as I love to do suicide no handers I prefer a bit bigger seat :)
Is weight a big factor for you?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Not really, I have to say. The weight of your bike is something you will get used to.
No more titanium spokes. Why's that?
Daniel Wedemeijer: My wheels are now built by Perfect BMX Wheels and they use strong, light and black spokes, so I decided to part ways with the rainbow colors haha.
Metal pedals over plastic?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I of course tried plastic back in the days. But I broke them every session so back to metal!
Who's your personal mechanic?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Paul "Coach" de Jong
Thanks to: You Bart de Jong for the bikecheck. Haro Bikes/Verwimp BV and Paul's Boutique for the new bike and off course all my other sponsors for letting me live my dream.
