The standings going into the last round of the 2022 UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup for Women Park was close. Chinese athletes left a strong impression at the last stop in Australia and are showing they mean business in the years to come. In the end it was Hannah Roberts who scored most points overall for the season to become the 2022 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup Park champion. Second went to Nikita Ducarroz (SUI) and third place overall was for Charlotte Worthington who had to sit out the last World Cup final after a warm-up crash left her sidelined. Question of the day was if the Chinese ladies will continue to improve on their level. If they do, the 2023 UCI BMX Freestyle Park overall ranking will look a whole lot different. The challenge is on, and that's a good thing. Progression needs to be made. Riding needs to be pushed. There is never a stale moment in BMX Freestyle.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) must announce that the opening round of the 2022 UCI BMX Freestyle Park and Flatland World Cup which should have taken place from 25 to 27 March in Hiroshima, Japan, has had to be cancelled at the request of the organisers and the Hurricane Group – the UCI’s partner for BMX Freestyle – following restrictions imposed by the country’s government. The UCI would like to thank the event’s organisers for their cooperation in this difficult situation, as well as the athletes, National Federations and all concerned parties for their understanding.
Updated calendar for the 2022 UCI BMX Freestyle Park and Flatland World Cup:
UCI decisions concerning cycling disciplines, other than road, faced with the coronavirus. Fourty-eight hours after announcing the main principles that will shape the revision of the UCI International Road Calendar in view of the resumption of the 2020 season in the context of the coronavirus, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) today announces the framework for the other disciplines. Faced with the continued spread of the virus, notably in Europe, and in the context of restrictive measures adopted by a number of countries banning gatherings and movement of people, the UCI underlines that as world cycling’s governing body, it puts absolute priority on the security of athletes and all people present at events on the UCI International Calendar.
