It only makes sense to have a '70-s style skatepark near the beach. Or better, a surf town like St. Jean de Luz in France. If they did it in Dog Town, they must have lived like that in France. When there are no waves, you build the waves and ride it on the skateboard. It must have happened something like that and you know what, the spot is still around. It's only a 10 minute bike ride south of the 2ndsky bowl and not further than 100 meters from the beach. That should give you enough directions for your next photoshoot.
