Stop scrolling, this is BMX at its finest. Rim Nakamura went OFF on his semi-final run to put him in 1st place before the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup final tomorrow.
Rim Nakamura has flown the Subrosa flag long before we even met him back in 2011. Rim was just 9 years old when Hoang, Kyle, Vince and myself went to Japan for a trip and we knew then that he was something special.
We're living in strange times. Just going out to ride isn't a normality. Although rules differ in most countries it is fair to say that having your own park is the only way of doing regular sessions without distractions. Getting a Park built is expensive and can become a headache, but if you have one now, you know it was all worth it. After checking in with Ryan Nyquist (USA) and Kenneth Tencio (CRC), we now move over to the other side of the planet where Rim Nakamura has his own park set up in Kyoto, Japan.

Rim Nakamura started riding at a very young age as his father was also a BMX lifer and showed him the ropes. Rim recently was in Eindhoven, Netherlands to ride the 040BMXPARK (Area51). We met up, took some photos and fired over some questions. Let's see what makes the BMX-er from Kyoto tick.
