BMX Australia is pleased to announce the 2011/2012 National Champbikx Series and Probikx Tour dates and venues with the competition set to visit Queensland, Western Australia and the ACT before the final round is held during the National Championships in South Australia. The 7 round series will feature double headers at the first 3 events that will be hosted by:
-Nerang BMX Club (Nerang, QLD) – Friday Jan 6 & Saturday Jan 7, 2012
-Bunbury BMX Club (Bunbury, WA) – Saturday Jan 28 & Sunday Jan 29, 2012
-Canberra BMX Club (Melba, ACT) – Saturday March 2 & Sunday March 3, 2012

The final round will be held on Thursday April 19, 2012 at Blue

Riding trails is not just about the riding. The digging is a big part of it. Of course everyone prefers to be on their bike at the trails but you need to put your time in to enjoy it. Riding dirt rocks because you can shape it the way you want. It's like building a concrete park and having the opportunity to change and adjust it so it flows and feels good. A new line is in the works at the Helm Trails in Helmond, NL. The approach is different and if it works out remains to be seen. If not, there's a possibility to change it up again.

There was no snow necessary to make a dream downhill run at the Coffee Mill Ski Resort in rural Minnesota this weekend. Luke Parslow put on a non-stop BMX dirt showcase to win the top spot with a barrage of flip tricks. In a flawless two hour session he blasted a 360 backflip, a backflip tailwhip and a double backflip. That was enough to earn the respect of his fellow riders, who awarded him the prize in a contest Parslow called, “the best contest since Red Bull Elevation.” 

Okay, hands on the handlebars. Knee on the seat. Stay low. Elbows down. Now look back and give a pose. Looking good. 21+? Come in.

The annual Swatch BMX SX awards are around the corner. On October 1st the winners will be announced. But first we have the nominees. See who are all in there for the 2011 season:
