USA Cycling’s 2011 BMX Power Rankings, its system for identifying the best overall American BMX performers in international and domestic BMX racing, have been finalized. Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./GT Bicycles) and Arielle Martin (Spanaway, Wash./Intense BMX) were the top male and female Elite racers. Rusty Nesvig (San Diego, Calif./Factory Intense) and Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif./Haro-Rockstar) finished as the top Juniors. Additionally, the 2012 BMX Power Rankings events calendar and points tables have been posted.
The USA Cycling BMX Power Rankings include points for Elite Men, Elite Women, Junior Men and Junior Women from the BMX World Championships, Supercross World Cups, and the USA Cycling BMX National Championships. This system is based on the UCI points tables but will include only those points earned in the current season (i.e., they will not be based on a 12-month rolling calendar or results from another region of the world
