How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 12 athletes participating in 2 40 runs each. Best run counts, scored 1 - 100. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest. Top 8 athletes from the elimination will advance to the final. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.
BMX Park is a style of bmx riding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarter pipes, and ledges arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Riders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, jumps, and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. The athletes will complete as many runs as possible within the jam session, with their best run score counting towards final ranking. Competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs) and use of the course.
