The Mirraco Black Pearl, Blend, Fivestar and Chocolate frames have become available. It was a long wait but now you can buy a frame that riders like Dave Mirra, Nigel Sylvester, Rob Wise, Mike Laird, Mike Spinner, Ryan Guettler and Dave Rytell ride. The top tubes range from 20.75 (Blend Lite) to 21" (Fivestar Lite and Chocolate) with the Black Pearl Lite frame in the middle of the two with a 20.8 Top Tube.

The Fivestar Lite model(pictured on the right) is ridden by Dave Rytell, has removable rotor tabs, U-brake mounts on the seatstays and weighs in at: 4.66 lbs. (for the Europeans and other metric system users, that's 2.12 kg).

The new format of RIDEBMX has been well received. I haven't heard from anybody that they liked the old issues better. It feels like you've got something in your hands with the thicker paper ad the mat-finish makes sure it doesn't drop out of your hands and spill the coffee over the whole table. In the past I would flip through a magazine and looked forward to having a photo in the mag. These days I hope not to find a photo of myself in the mag because they usually are taken at the bar when things are going a bit wild. Issue 141 is one of those issues which has a party photo of Paul and I which we can't remember where it was taken (Keith?). The good thing is that we have a few kickass party photos of the editor himself so it's time for "payback". Find the photo at the bottom of the contents list. We've got some spares too......haha.

If you have been into BMX for a couple of years you (should) know how to put a bike together part by part. If you're just starting out and have a few issues to get your ride tuned up, you should watch Matt Wilhelm's FIX YOUR BIKE instructional videos that he has posted on his new website. Even for the old dawgs the 5 videos might give away a few tricks that you could use from now on.

Sorry it has been a couple weeks since our last update. So I wanted to make sure you all know how much we appreciate your well wishes, birthday messages & prayers. I'm awaiting an update from Stephen's father, but I can give you a little insight from my time with Stephen & his family. Their holidays have been wonderful, just being together as a family is more than anyone could ask for. Though Stephen has been sick off & on he continues to fight everything thrown at him.
