It makes me happy whenever a new BMX magazine arrives. The latest BMX Rider magazine included. It's always nice to see your own photo and or article in it and this time I was stoked to see the photo of Michel Dijstelblom on page 18. Michel is a local here in Helmond and isn't necessarily traveling worldwide to BMX events because he simply doesn't have the funds. He does ride a lot though and on this particular day we met up at the new Central Station and then visited this weird statue which ended up getting a full page in the new issue of BMX Rider. But of course there's lot more, and every picture in it tells a thousand words. That's a lot of text right there.Number 13 of BMX RIDER marks the special CONTEST ISSUE:

The UCI offer a permanent number system for Elite Men and Elite Women. With this system, riders can choose a “career number”, which they have the exclusive right to use for their entire Elite class career. This system allows riders to choose a specific number for themselves which they have the exclusive right to use for their entire Elite category career. Riders are given an opportunity to apply for numbers not yet occupied.UCI RULES REGARDING NUMBERS
6.1.074 Any licensed rider in the category Men Elite and Women Elite can choose a permanent career number between 10-999. A chosen number will be exclusive for the rider, and cannot be used by any other elite category (including Junior category). The number must be used at all international BMX events. A chosen number will remain as long as the rider receives UCI points during the season and will be automatically allocated for the next season. Pros from all around the world made it once again to Sérignan in South of France, for the third time, to celebrate the 8th edition of the International dirt contest. A new brand course more technical welcomed the PRO and Amateur riders. On Friday the riders and the large crowd enjoyed the sunny afternoon with the Max Rider best trick and we could see that the size of bike is not a problem for them!! Saturday was just amazing with the PRO qualifications followed straight by the Masters Of Dirt best tricks.Ricardo Laguna was awarded honorary citizen of North Las Vegas by Mayor John Lee of North Las Vegas.
