In general we can say that the Papendal track was a bigger step for the boys than it was for the girls. The split first straight wasn't fair for everyone and the first turn might not have been big enough for the girls, but all in all they could race it without too much risk. Magalie Pottier gives her view on the gnarly track.


What did you hear about the track before you made it to Papendal?
Magalie: I heard that it was really big, more for men than women with a lot of jumps! But doesn't matter that people said I just wanted to see the track with my own eyes.

Did you try to find videos of it to see what it was like before you went to Holland?
Magalie: I saw a few videos and pictures but I prefer to watch it in real. So I had just a global overview no more.

When you arrived at the track, what was your first opinion?

What did you hear about the track before you made it to Papendal?
Aneta: I heard the track has very big jumps and looks like track from different planet.

Did you try to find videos of it to see what it was like before you went to Holland?
Aneta: Yes I have seen some videos, but they had too many cuts, so they didn't tell me much.

When you arrived at the track, what was your first opinion?
Aneta: The track was really like euro style, so I like this types of track, but terrible wind made me feel scary.

Do you think you got enough practice time to get used to the track?
