The Bocal Mostard crew organizes a big party on the 27 September to celebrate the 30th birthday of the snakerun of Liège (Luik/Lüttich in Belgium). It's the oldest skatepark in Belgium and one of the last in this style in Europa. It's still rideable because of a new concrete layer in 2000! That's a real estate for the communities of BMX and skateboard. This event is a good occasion to interpellate the local politicians about the future of the place - 15 000 m² nearly in the abandon.

While in the USA a few weeks ago I rented a car for a few reasons and one of them was to see three BMX riders who had been (and still are) going through some rough times. Mat Hoffman made things easy to see Stephen Murray as he had invited him to come the SoulBowl event. It must have been the hardest event to get him to with his chair but if there is a will, there is a way. It was awesome to see Stephen up there enjoying the riding that was going on in the wooden bowl on the beach.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
