In the Netherlands we have a town called America. This Sunday 29 June Govert Schonewille is having a jam at his facilty in America which hosts a race track 2 spine ramps, a wallride, some trails in the woods, and a  possibility for lake jumping. If you've always wanted to ride BMX in America, this is the easy way.  

If you are not living in Brazil or have not booked a flight there yet, the following three events might not be on your program. But we're spreading the word on these ABBMX events. One of them is a flatland show, there's a dirt comp and a street event. With a bit of luck we'll have reports about all three of them here on FATBMX.

A lot of you have heard rumors that the Kingston Bike Festival is happening and that Metro Jam is a part of it. There’s also a super cool new BMX race but no one knows much more. So here’s the rundown. The whole thing is going down in Kingston Ontario. Kingston is a city of about 150,000 people. It’s located in the middle of eastern Canada’s three biggest cities, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. It’s two to three hours drive from each, and it’s an hour north of Syracuse, NY. Most Americans flying in for the events should probably fly into Syracuse. It’ll be much cheaper than flying right into Kingston. Racers will know this because Kingston has hosted some pretty big races.

The web sites don’t have a lot of info on them right now but check back often. We’ll be updating them soon, and regularly. The Kingston Bike Festival website is more for general public to view. Riders should go to the Metro and ERA sites.

The FlyBikes bashguard is now available in shops. The bashguard was redesigned by Ruben Alcantara and David Quesada and is compatible with the Luna frame. The bashguard was a grind plate used in the early days of freestyle. We felt it would be interesting to see what today’s riders could do with it. There will be a prototype Tierra in testing soon for the bashguard as well. So if you are looking to expand your grinding capabilities and you have the new Luna frame, check out the bashguard. Here are a few examples of the bashguard in use. These are the easy ones but there are untouched ideas with the bashguard.

We're running this photo this week because next week at this time it can be too late and everyone in Holland gets ride of their orange clothes for the next few years. But yes, Holland is still in the European Soccer championships and Russia is the next opponent in the quarter finals on Saturday. Zhe Germans already made it to the semi finals so to avoid shit talk from Christoph Huber and Ralf Maier, we need to make it to the next round too. A final between Holland and Germany would be the ultimate. We'll see what happens. Team Paul's Boutique has got Holland's back.
