The iconic grounds of Central Park became the launching pad for BMX legend Kevin Robinson as he soared into the world record books by airing 54 feet off the ground – equivalent to nearly a six story building - breaking the record for highest air on a BMX bike in the second-ever Red Bull Experiment. Kevin hurled himself down a 60ft high roll-in at speeds over 45 mph, up a 27ft Super Quarter Pipe and aired 27ft above the ramp, against the back drop of the world-renowned New York City skyline. After nearly an hour and six attempts trying for the record, Kevin broke it by one inch, at 26.7 ft. Hoffman Bikes' Kevin Robinson is the new World Height Record holder on a BMX bike. He managed to beat team boss Mat Hoffman's previous record by half a feet and moved it up to 27 feet out of the top of the 30 feet high quarterpipe ramp. The event took place in New York City last night. 
The next match of the Dutch team will be played tonight at 20:45hr against the French. It is good to see that more companies have got our back. The Canadians obviously are not in the European football championships but they do make some sweet orange parts. The bronze parts are not good enough for us though. We'll call up Super G for some Gold 43 stuff when we win the cup.

GT Bicycles is proud to announce its new BMX team program called “The Project.” This progressive team is made up of ten riders from around the world who were selected through an online contest held on the Vital BMX website. Members of the Vital BMX website community were invited to upload a video featuring their riding and a short interview as their contest entry. GT received over 200 videos and selected the top 10 riders to be part of the new GT Project team. The riders span across the planet from the UK, Australia and all over the US. GT has developed a new dirt / street frame of the same name (The Project), available exclusively to the selected Project riders, to support this program.
“This is a great opportunity for talented riders that haven’t been discovered yet to ride a great bike, and to be part of our family,” said Chuck Fallon, GT BMX Team Manager. “This is how BMX got started back in the day, and this is what BMX is really all about.”
