Cynthia and Martin have been keeping you updated on stephens position since the days back in baltimore cos dear old dad JEFF could not turn a computer on let alone use one. To help take the weight off Stephen's mam and brother I have finally taken the time to learn this art of computer literacy and am now ready to post my own update for all you kind, generous, caring and compassionate friends of the Murray family.

First and foremost, my deepest thanks to all of you, for everything that all of you folks have done for us over the last 3 months -- yes-- it is 3 months since Stephen had his upset in Baltimore -- we will always want to remember all of your magnificent support which has come to us in many different ways. THANKS TO YOU ALL AGAIN AND AGAIN.

The T-Mobile Street Session in Berlin is taking place from 12-13 October next. Quite a few riders are coming down to Germany to enter the contest. There's an open qualifier on Friday so you can qualify too and hit it up against Morgan Wade, Brian Kachinski, Zack Warden, Brian Hunt and their European friends. Read the info below on who's coming, the prize purse and time schedule.

New arrivals are always good. Seems like more and more people are taking care of the BMX future. Congrats to Steve Swope and wife Kate on their first baby. Avery Kathleen Swope was born on September 21st at  11:02pm.  Weighed in at: 7lbs 9-oz, and 19 3/4" tall. Baby and Mom are doing great. Dad is psyched!

For some reason we didn't know much about this Stephen Murray benefit night at the Port-o-Call Social Club in Salt Lake city. I'm glad we made it over there though. The place was raging but partying in Salt Lake (Utah) means that when one o' clock arrives, the party is over. The orange team of security guards had things under control and we each went our own way. I ended up at Alberto's with Kevin McAvoy, Joey Garcia, Keith Mulligan and Clay Brown for some late night grub and somehow found my way back to the Red Lion. 

Wednesday 3 October must be a holiday in Germany as Bruno Hoffmann and his crew are holding the third edition of the Under The Bridge contest in Siegen on that day. It all starts at 14:00hr. As Bruno mentioned:  "This year's Siegen jam is the third edition. It's a local contest for beginners, but also a team contest for experts and pros has been planned."

4Down just put up the First of their trailers for the 4down summer of madness dvd.

The dvd will be available December 1st, And features a Fit Bike Co. & S&M UK team section, and a Rebel Jam Roadtrip section, all filmed during their 6 weeks out on the road this summer..

The first one is from the Fit UK team with Scott Ditchburn, Daniel Benson, Cleggy Rowlands, Marv and Ben Lewis.

 4Down will be releasing another 2 trailers at the beginning of each month up until its release..

NEW YORK – October 1, 2007 – The AST Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced the winner of the PlayStation® Trick of the Week Award from the Toyota Challenge. Voting began on Monday, September 24, the day after competitions ended. Fans were able to view video clips and vote online at astdewtour.com until Monday, October 1. Fans selected Cameron White as the PlayStation® Trick of the Week winner after he performed a Barspin Tailwhip Backflip in competition during the BMX Dirt Finals. White finished in second place in the finals.

“I want to thank everyone who made this possible: my friends, family, and especially the fans,” said White. “I’m totally shocked and excited to have won, because I was up against tough competition. The Toyota Challenge was the best contest this year. The jumps were awesome, the crowds were amazing, and Salt Lake was a fun city to be in.”

Brian Purdy's F this S BMX video had its premiere at Todd's bar in Salt Lake City. We decided to check it out since we were in the neighbourhood. When we entered the bar the crew thought that we were putting on the video premiere. Since we were the first ones there we did not know if we found the right place. Jerry, Bruce and his crew showed up and arrived for the same reason. We played a few games of pool and slowly more BMX-ers showed up. Allan Cooke showed a copy of Brian Purdy's F this S DVD so we had come to the right spot indeed.
