Canadian Flatland pro rider Nathan Penonzek has a new project in the works: "I suppose you saw on TV the earthquake in Perú last week?? I was in that town last year on my way down to Chile, it was poor then, I can only imagine now. I have a plan, I want to raise money for a social project. As you know, my Quijote tour is still in the works, I will be on a boat to Colombia soon, I will organize two quick events there and in Ecuador."

The 2007 Mexican X-Games will take place at Sept. 7-9 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. We can make all kind of jokes here but I'm sure they've got things handled over there in Mexico. The invited riders list looks impressive on street as well as vert.

Stephen Murray is receiving a lot of love from his BMX family and it's good to see that. He can use all the support out there and here are a few more things you can do to help.
-The Worchester jam that is coming up this weekend has a photo competition going on. Anyone can submit their pics of the jam and the best ones will make it in RIDE magazine. The pics will also be posted on a website so Stephen can look at them. Find all info on the image that Kung just sent.

THE DATE FOR STEPHEN'S JAM AT NASTY'S TRAIL'S, HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL POSSIBLY OCTOBER. AFTER TALKING WITH MANY OF THE PRO RIDERS AT THE LAST DEW STOP, THE SEPTEMBER DATE CONFLICTED WITH PRIOR COMMITMENTS. NOT A BAD THING, AS THIS WILL ALLOW US MORE TIME TO PREPARE AND GET EVERYONE INVOLVED. I WILL BE SURE TO KEEP YOU ALL POSTED WHEN THE NEW DATE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. Will Stroud of Nine to Five films finished up another Mirraco web video. It has a bit of San Francisco street riding as well as some contest footage. Riders in the new movie are Dave Mirra, Rob Wise, Mike Laird, Dave Rytell, Mike Spinner, Nigel Sylvester and Ryan Guettler. The best riders in the world: BMX riders Tobias Wicke, Ben Wallace, Mike Spinner, Ben Hennon and Dave Osato +++ live performances by The Hives, The Donots and Ohrbooten ++++ Ten of the best athletes in the world, as well as local stars, will pit their skills in competition against one another at the Summer Session in Hamburg. The unique nature of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds lies in the mixture of the sports’ stars and bands of the moment. And so with this in mind, The Hives have been confirmed as the headlining act. 

At this year's Rebel Jam event at the Mellowpark Dig Magazine and rebeljam collaborated and came up with a limited edition T-shirt everybody could purchase at the event. All the income out of the shirts were ment to support Stephen Murray and his family in the current situation. Bronx, NY – August, 2007 - The King of New York™ is back! Started in 1995, one of the longest running bicycle stunt competitions in the world and the only one of its kind in New York City, the King of New York will be returning to its home at Mullaly Park in the Bronx, NYC on September 1 and 2, 2007. Easily accessed by numerous forms of transportation and located at 164th Street between Jerome and River Avenues in the Bronx, Mullaly is just three blocks up the street from that “other” famed, historic landmark, Yankee Stadium.

Less than a week away now till the 2007 Worcester BMX Stephen Murray Jam and final preparations are well underway. The official t-shirt for the jam is being printed and delivered later this week. All profits from the sale of the shirt will be going to The Stephen Murray Family Fund so dig deep and bring some cash for a good cause.
