Dave - you were idolized by many, inspired thousands if not millions of riders (and tv viewers thanks to X games).
All we can say is thank you. Rest in Peace Dave. You'll never be forgotten.

With the sad and untimely passing of one of the biggest names in bmx history I thought I should put out some rare old footage I filmed of Dave on UK soil. Filmed this in August 1993 at King of Concrete, Southsea skatepark. He came , saw and conquered. Took home a Guinness World record too for highest air- and most riders say that halfpipe is hard to ride.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
