All the locals make you feel welcome. Last years series overall winner Paul Meacher took the win, but the surprise of the event was seeing the Way brothers turn up and throw down, Oakley in his typical nonchalant approach to riding, smashing its with a big old bag of tricks from flairs to 540 truck drivers, and his brother Reef Way is something else, relatively new to vert contest seen, at this event i counted four 540s from Reef over two runs, he did an alley-oop 540, a 540 truckdriver and followed that with a 540 tailwhip, his run had a touch of Simon Tabron feel to it. Then had Josh Bates blasting airs as high as he could without hitting the beam, doing a lovely xup - turndown. Tom Leaver did a massive smooth flair.
In this video we see some of the best uk bmxers battle it out on @skaterhamskatepark vert ramp. Paul Meacher took the win, with Josh Bates in second and Reef Way in third.
Everyone rode well, the spectators enjoyed the event.
Shout out to all the sponsors and everyone involved in this event.
See you all for round 2 at Mount Hawke, June 10th, as part of the @deadsailorbmx weekender.
