This time, it was awesome to have Hristo Enev with us, coming straight from the U.S. after two years away, making up for missing the last trip. His mad style definitely brought an undeniable energy to the project.
But not everything went smoothly. Hristo Iliev took a bad slam on day one, tearing his ACL and both menisci in Belgrade. Despite the setback, he managed to film an unbelievable amount of clips before the injury. Only he can stack that much footage in just a few hours! Having to send him home so soon was tough, but his presence in Railways is still essential!
Macedonia felt familiar as we’ve been there plenty of times in the past. Despite that, we went there with a fresh perspective that paid off. We found new spots, rode set-ups that had never been ridden before, and revisited old classics with new eyes.
Serbia, though? That was unknown territory for us. We had only heard about the spots in Belgrade, but none of us had been there for street riding. We weren’t sure what it was going to be like and if we were going to find enough good stuff to ride for the limited time we had. Well, what we found was a city overflowing with set-ups and super kind local people, who weren’t mad but actually stoked on what we were doing on those little bikes. As the title "Railways" suggests, we found plenty of handrails to ride.
Beyond the clips, we came back with a big bag of memories from the good times we had, the exciting places we explored and the friends, old and new, who welcomed us along the way. Huge thanks to the local homies who helped us find spots, shared the fun with us and let us take a proper shower at their homes!
Shoutout to our amazing riders who are always killing it, as well as to our filmer, who puts tons of effort to capture and present what we do in the best way.
All of us do that with lots of love and we will continue to do so. We are pleased to present to you "Railways". Hit "play" and enjoy!
