The UCI BMX Freestyle park World Cup season ends in Australia. It has been a battle between Anthony Jeanjean and Logan Martin all year long. With Jeanjean getting home advantage in Montpellier France, it is now Logan Martin's turn to use the Gold Coast surroundings in his favour for the last stop. Both did well in Montpellier and Brussels and their ranking points indicate 1820 for Jeanjean and 1800 for Martin at the moment. During qualification neither one of the top park riders made a mistake and a 1-2 finish was the results with Logan coming on top. The event continued on Saturday with the semi finals where 12 of the 24 riders were sent to the showers. Logan and Anthony are still in getting out of the semi finals in 1st (Logan) and 3rd (Jeanjean) giving the Aussie the opportunity to watch the Frenchy's runs before dropping in. With two runs of which the best run counts, expect the battle to be on. In Abu Dhabi at the recent UCI BMX Freestyle World Championships Logan Martin got a flat tire during qualification. Something like that could just happen at the Gold Coast as well but both team France and team Australia are ready to minimize bad luck and get the riders ready so they can perform at their best at the final round of the season. 2022 UCI BMX Park World Champion made it to the finals in 2nd place and is ready to mix it up with the two title favourites on Sunday. We will see what happens but make sure to keep checking in for the outcome.

Bringing the heat to Abu Dhabi! Monster Energy congratulates team riders Justin Dowell and Anthony Jeanjean on taking silver and bronze in BMX Park at the UCI World Championships. The men’s finals closed out the 2022 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships with the BMX Freestyle Park Finals. Twelve men and twelve women competed in the finals, with three men and three women from Team USA making the big show. The crowd was excited to see the world’s elite BMX athletes throw down their best tricks on the world-renowned course. Monster Energy’s Dowell (Virginia Beach, V.A.) and Daniel Sandoval (Corona, Cali) represented Team USA.
Dowell, USA, has been consistent at World Championships with a win in 2018, and he took 4th place in 2019 and 2021, so he was ready to get back on the podium. With a score of 91.50, he finished the day in second place.
“My run is exactly how I like to ride – a combination of tricks back-to-back to back,” said Dowell. "I don’t like skipping ramps and pedaling around the course. That’s just really not my style. I respect the big transfers and stuff, but I am more of a back-to-back type of guy. I put everything down. I think that is a really technical way to ride, and it doesn’t always go right, but when it does, it is really special. To end up on the podium again at the World Championship for the first time since 2018 means a lot to me. I want to try for the top spot next year.”
Following the Junior and Amateur categories, the Women of BMX Freestyle Park announced an unprecedented line up for a FISE Xperience Series stage. First step since its launch to welcome such an international contest, its challenge of collecting points in the UCI world ranking by a C1 label has offered the Rémois runs from Argentina, Venezuela, Spain and RCF. If this enthusiasm has reinforced the level of the contest, it needed more to destabilize the French champion Laury Perez who get the victory today.
These performances warmed up the spectators who were at the height of their involvement during the launch of the BMX Freestyle Park Pro final. First in qualifying the day before, the young Brazilian

Anthony Jeanjean: It was a very intense moment for me because I discovered BMX freestyle at FISE de Montpellier 10 years ago and my first competition was at FISE de Montpellier; so finding myself in the BMX Park Pro final 10 years later was incredible for me.
