British bmx pro rider Cam Peake, a regular of the FISE series, recently followed his family now settled permanently in the south west of France after "Bréxit". Now a bit lost in the middle of nowhere, with only the Pau skatepark more than an hour away, after lockdown and while waiting to be able to resume the road of contests, we left for 3 days with him to learn more about this new life that is slowly taking place.
Cam Peake loves BMX. It shows by his effort to go to all the events on the calendar. If that means road tripping and sleeping in the car for a couple of weeks, so be it. Call it dedication. Call it adventure. Call it BMX. Cam lives it. Here's his Last Call... Q&A. Enjoy.

Mongoose rider, Cam Peake can do just about anything on his bike. He's no stranger to big airs but can do some of the most difficult technical riding out there! Here are a few clips of Cam in Arizona when he was out there with the team for the Mongoose Am Jam in Tuscon.
This is the first video in a series we are going to film over the next few months in the new park. 90 seconds of just bmx. No music just tyres, cassets and metal pegs. In the first instalment Mongoose bikes professional rider and asylum Local Cam Peake. Watch his unique style, full of big tricks and technical wizardry. Comment who you would like to see do one next.

Cam Peake remporte la finale de BMX Freestyle Park sur l'étape du Havre FISE Xperience Series.
From early morning, the finals were linked on the Freestyle Park for the last stage of the French cup FFC. After the categories Junior, Women dashed and the havraise Alicia Labat had much to do in front of three members of the French Collective; Kenza Chaal, Magalie Pottier and Laury Perez. The latter moreover stood out, before making way in Amateurs where it was Louidgi Opplert who took the win. The wind at the end of day imposed to convert the qualification results as the final results in the Pro class where a demonstration followed instead. The qualification results had Cam Peake winning, Jack Macguire in second and Kenneth Tancre from Belgium in third for this last stage of the 2018 FISE Xperience Series tour. Do you remember the first BMX event you went to this year and how did it go?
Cam Peake: It was SIMPLE SESSION back in Feb and the contest went awful for me. It was my first one back after I snapped my collarbone towards the end of 2016 and I was riding a bit slack all winter but I took a lot away from it in terms of what I needed to do for the rest of 2017 so in a way it gave me the kick up the back side I needed haha! I had a wicked time with everyone though.
How many weekends/days were you away from home and at a BMX jam/contest or on tour?
Cam Peake: This took some working out but around 14 weeks in total away at contests in 2017. 32 flights, 8 ferries and god knows how many miles in the car!
What was the best event you went to this year that gets your vote?
Cam Peake: This was a hard question because I have a sikkk time at all the contests I go to, some
