Get behind the scenes at X Games Ventura 2024 with two certified BMX legends! Monster Energy is proud to welcome 29-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson, Arizona, alongside 30-year-old Ryan Williams from Sunshine Coast, Australia, on Episode 408 of the sports and pop culture podcast UNLEASHED with The Dingo, Danny, and Brittney. Speaking on the special significance of competing in the X Games, Peraza said: “It is a show! It’s a contest for us; we are all trying to get a medal, but it’s also a show. It's our stage to showcase our personalities, our new tricks, and our new style to the kids. And not just inspire kids to pick up a BMX bike, but to enjoy action sports, and just put a smile on people's faces!”
We came up with a new concept during this session Calle 5 for 5. Take four homies and add Blake to the mix filming them. Everyone tries to get five clips in a reasonable amount of time. In the pro BMX street contest, the 27-year-old from Tucson, Arizona, rose all the way to the top of the leaderboard with a flawless technical run.
From July 30 to August 7, 2022, the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing returned to the southside of the Huntington Beach Pier. As one of the world’s largest action sports festivals, the event was free to the public and featured sports competitions alongside fan activations and musical performances. Monster Energy congratulates Kevin Peraza for his winning run on the BMX Park course at the inaugural X Games Minneapolis. The young rider made short work of the competition taking the victory in convincing fashion. This year X Games spared no expense in creating what many athletes are calling the best Park course in the long history of the games. Set inside the climate controlled US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, the deep bowls, unique features and silky smooth transitions afforded riders free reign to bring everything they had to the competition.
