We've known Eben for sometime now since he was riding for Inopia who we work closely with. After hanging out with Eben a lot during the filming of the Megatour 5 DVD, we decided to make him an offer to ride for Stolen as his main sponsor and he accepted.

What is it that you do these days?
Glenn: I make videos and films. I still work for Transworld, my job is to produce one BMX video and one quad off-road film, there's a lot of extra stuff in there, like the presentation at the nora cup awards, company presentation stuff, and web videos.

You had a change of jobs when you worked for Primo for a while, how was that?

So far it has been a pretty diverse season in ABA AA PRO racing. We have had six PRO Series event weekends and have seven different winners in the class. That's pretty exciting if you ask me! When's the last time you can remember seven different winners in any one AA PRO season? We still have 9 event weekends left for this to go down as one of the best season's of all-time. Tulsa, OK. and the ABA GRANDS and going to be a real barn burner for sure!  Below is the list of winners so far:

Mongoose rider Cam White was invited to attend the Happy Valley Park Contest in Shenzhen China during May 1 - May 5. Here's how it went down in Cam's own words:  After four days of rain the contest was finally finished. It was supposed to be a four day event but due to weather conditions it was postponed and the contest was shaved down to a two run contest with no finals. There were some really good riders from Thailand and China. One of the kids had every trick possible: 720's, flairs and double whips but it sucked because he crashed in both runs. He would have won the entire contest if he hadn't crashed.

Pete Radivo and Brendon Jones made it out from Australia. Both of those kids have some amazing talent and know how to throw down. Pete did some awesome tailwhip variations including a huge x-up transfer in the Best Trick Contest. Brendon did the biggest flip turndown I have ever seen.

The Got Dirt BMX trail jam went down on last week in conjunction with the BMX racing nationals at Wayville showground in Adelaide. The course consisted of a massive 5m high roll in and drop off which went straight into 3 big sets of jumps. The riders then had a 6m high wall ride to hit and 3 more sets of jumps on the way back. The course was definitely the best competition dirt course ever built in Australia and saw some awesome riding over the weekend. There were competitions for Pro and Am with $4000 pro purse and well over that in prizes. The Comp format was a head to head battle, the riders were split into pairs and had 3 runs through the jumps to show their skills. The winner for each round progressed to the next and so on right through to the final. This format saw some interesting results with consistency and planning your runs taking a big part in the results.

The Am comp proved that the future of BMX is strong with a stack of good riders battling it out for the golden got dirt #1 shovel. 

- El Cajon, California – The Formula Factory team was all over the map this past weekend with riders in Texas and in Florida representing. Donny Robinson was trying to continue his winning ways at the ABA’s Super Nationals in Desoto, Texas while Amanda Geving kept it close to home racing the last NBL Florida State qualifier at Charlotte BMX in Punta Gorda. Donny rolled into Metroplex BMX in Desoto as the hottest Pro on the tour. Could dR keep the win streak alive? Here’s Donny himself on how the weekend went:

“Pretty simple really. I wasn’t the overall fastest rider this weekend. Kyle Bennett was riding really well. I had trouble with the first jump all weekend and little mistakes cost me.”

History: In the beginning England first experienced BMX in 1980 when Geoff Wiles was sent over to the USA by the Halford's head-office based in Redditch, near Birmingham. His mission was to check out and assess a new cycle sport called Bicycle Motocross - "BMX". He was, "Blown away" by what he saw and immediately on his return kick started operations to build a BMX track in Redditch to duplicate what he saw in the States and to set-up the first UK race.

Being the first official track to be built in the UK, Redditch was "The Blue Print" and hundreds of tracks soon appeared across the U.K.

The opening of the Venus trails saw about 30-40 people show up. Mostly MTB-ers, sad but true, but also a couple of photographers and filmers showed up. Tim Bucholz took the photos you see with this little report so thanks to him. As planned we got together at the Aldi parking lot and rode over to the dirt jumps together. We had laid out a red carpet which was pretty effective. Jan Stoertzer held a short speech followed by a raffle where the two winners both got a T-shirt and some scissors. With these scissors they cut the ribbons that were placed across the dirt jumps. After that, the session was on.

Quite a few had problems clearing the big jumps as there was no possibility to warm up on smaller sets. One of the BMX-ers broke his arm and had to be taken to the hospital. After the early difficulties were over, it turned into a nice session.
