The Psykopath crew up in NorCal are an enthusiastic bunch of BMX-ers. They support a great group of riders and just received their 2006 model Race and Street/Dirt frames.

Zack Held makes a funny face and holds the prototype race frame while Nick Valencia takes it cool with the prototype street/dirt frame in his hands. So nice to see the first batch in real life. They're being tested right now.

Eastreet and Big Beach clothing are organizing a big photography contest in March. This contest is basic and here's how it works:
-         You ask for a sticker on our contest webpage.
-         You receive the sticker.
-         You stick it in an original spot.
-         You take a photograph.
-         The best photographs win.

Of course it's world famous Dick Slater!!! There's only one real Dick on the vert ramp doing 900-s at hardcore concerts. He lives the life in a tour bus playing Grand Theft Auto playing CJ until he says: "Take that, bitch!" 

If you guessed it right, pump your fist in the air three times now and scream Dick Slater rules!

Raceline promotions are putting on an event at the gold coast in Queensland, Australia. The NATS will have BMX flatland riding as well. That way we will post it here on FATBMX.

Aneta Hladikova, Elite Woman from Czech Republic, broke her wrist at round 5 of the European Indoor Championship in Zwolle, Holland. While leading she hit a jump with her front wheel and landed on her wrist. In 2 weeks Aneta may get plates in her wrist to reconstruct the complicated fracture.

Aneta had just signed a 3 year contract with the ONE KENDA BMX racing team. She’s a former World Champion and is the 2005 European number 2 and World number 4 in 20” Elite Women.

We hope Aneta will recover soon and can get back to what she loves most: BMX.

For the first 15 years of BMX freestyle, 44-16 was the gearing of choice. It was good enough to sprint towards a ramp and good enough to ride away from a flatland trick. Over the last years this has changed enormously. If you ride freestyle and run the 44-16 gear, you are looking pretty old school. It's safe to say that 44-16 is a thing of the past. Flatlanders went for smaller sprockets (in the front and in the rear) on their customized coaster hubs to make room for scuffing and spinning. The weight police has demanded small sprocket use among park riders.
