We're back on the BMX Plus! magazine comp list. Thanks to whoever made that happen. It was a bit weird to receive the July issue before the June issue and both magazines came with the warning that this was the last issue we would be receiving on our subscription. We'll just wait for the August issue to come in before we start panicking. First things first; June 2005. Cameron White on the cover on an orange bike. Oranje Boven! 2 Dutch guys get a photo in Inside Scoop this month. The Mailbag brought some shady drawings for a BMX magazine. The BMXperts answer some reader questions and the Nostalgia page has Greg Hill riding a pink Hutch. I honestly forgot Greg ever rode for Hutch. Thanks for the reminder. Nate Wessel and Van Homan present their bikes on page 28/29. Ryan Sher's front yard jam got a report and the FBM outsider gets tested.

The Toer Dur Laarbeek is being held this Sunday 29 May and starts at 11:30am at the Miniramp in Mariahout, followed by the hipped mini in Lieshout (Home of Bavaria Beer) for a session at 13:30pm. Then everyone moves on to the spine mini in Beek en Donk (home of the 1982 Open European BMX Championships) and the Tour will end in Aarle-Rixtel (world famous for the annual FAT-JAM). The tour is being organized by Mike Smits with the help of some enthusiasts and should count for the opening of 3 of the 4 mini ramps that were placed in these villages last year.

To make a perfect BMX weekend happen you basically only need a few things: Spirit, passion, dedication and heart. Exactly this is what the Bmx weekend should reflect in the first place. But sometimes you need to be a bit of a rebel… What is an international Bmx competition all about nowadays? Is the main focus actually on the sport itself or is it all more about making everything even more bigger, wider, louder and faster? Is actually “Bmx� still presented by those events or do other things have more priority? Is Bmx actually still a sport or more formed by lifestyle? Is it still allowed to call it Bmx Freestyle or will the single disciplines go more and more their own direction in the future? Fact is, that Bmx has various facings. Currently there are a lot of Bmx events world-wide which do not really include all these different facings. More and more it occurs that the sport itself and the riders are not the main focus of the whole procedure. And this is our motivation to draw something in the right direction again. That the wheel cannot be reinvented we all know, but that is not necessary anyway.

PlayStation 2 is pleased to announce a unique partnership with The Works in Leeds. The PS2 Works Academy is Europe’s first free-sport training facility and was set up in direct response to the free sport community needing a place that could implement grass roots skills for those new to the sports and equip already talented riders and skaters with the skills to compete at the highest level. Athletes will be coached and mentored in BMX by Olympic BMX coach Jeremy Hayes, Matt Thompson, Tom Rowbottom and Danny Clayton. They can also play on broadband enabled PlayStation 2’s and can work on internet-ready PCs in the PS2 lounge.

When you're quitting school and pack your bags to move to a scene that is happening, you must be pretty dedicated. Australian Matt Fairbairn made the move to Europe because he wanted to ride vert with more people and wanted to visit more events with his bike. We sat down with Matt and found out what makes him tick. FATBMX: All the regular stuff please Matt? Matt Fairbairn: I'm 29 years old and I'm from Newcastle, Australia. Helena was born on 21 May 2005 at 03:20am. She is 51 cm tall and weighs 3550 grams. Mother and child are healthy and are home. The family is thrilled and Marcin already claims to be a champion in changing diapers. Marcin also wanted everyone to know that Helena has black hair, long legs and is the prettiest of all. It's quite simple. If you race BMX, you need this video. Transit 5 shows a lot of NBL and ABA races from the States. That's where the real pros battle for the titles and contingency money week in and week out. Transit concentrates on the better classes meaning AA pro, A pro, master pro, pro women and the top expert classes. The filming and editing isn't top notch. It's usually one camera angle and sometimes a dude stands in front of the camera but you wouldn't have seen it any better if you had visited the race yourself. With the remote control in your hand you can get back to your favorite sections and learn how pros pass or throw their hips into the gate. Next to the NBL and ABA racing Transit 5 also covers the 2004 UCI BMX world championships in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands. There are various camera angles here but somehow it gets a bit confusing when they switch up angles. Featuring the world's best athletes competing in seven medal events, the Games will include: Freestyle Motocross, Skateboard Vert, Park and True Street, along with Bike Vert, Park, and Dirt. Road trips usually look like this: 4 bikes, 4 people, 1 car and a road map. All cramped up but having no problem with it because you're having fun. Believe me, I've been on plenty of trips like these. Once I was on the back of Chris Moeller's pick up truck on the way to a race in Phoenix. Timmy Ball was co-driving and Lawan, myself and one more POW were sitting in the back with the bikes and all the bags. We left from California to Phoenix so we did not expect the strong rain that we encountered. As soon as it started dripping we were okay in the back as long as Chris kept the speed up. We stopped at BK and asked for trash bags. We made rain coats out of them and put our bags in the trash bags that we were given. We made it to Phoenix and had one more story to add to our book.

Flo Sailer sent in some information on a new Flatland series called Battle in da Club: Idea: The idea is as simple as good and short All in one-flatland and clubbing. The best German riders and some european and international guest stars will be invited to have a hot battle in the hippest or even biggest club of the current city. Furthermore there will be interesting side-events like breakedance-shows and much more. After the contest riders and the audience can celebrate together. Therefore dependent upon the location, famous electro, hip hop and dancehall artists will be performing.
