Idea: The idea is as simple as good and short
All in one-flatland and clubbing. The best German riders and some european and international guest stars will be invited to have a hot battle in the hippest or even biggest club of the current city. Furthermore there will be interesting side-events like breakedance-shows and much more. After the contest riders and the audience can celebrate together. Therefore dependent upon the location, famous electro, hip hop and dancehall artists will be performing.
Why?
Our goal is to establish a series of battles and touring during different cities and clubs. A permanent event which is in first instance fun for all riders and to give them the chance to assert themselves as a pro rider and earn some money. Last but not least the audience should be thrilled from this fascinated sport/lifestyle. Because it is a fact that traditional sports like tennis or soccer doesn´t interest people more and more (and not even in Germany). There are a lot of troubles like doping-scandals and the audience don´t like that shit. In contrast the interest in flatland is continuously growing because of the manifoldness and the endless progression. For sure it´s not easy to organize this series but we think positive and work hard. Flatland for live!
Mode:
The participants will ride "against" each other in a 5 minute battle-format showing their best combos. All battles will be selected by lot. 3 judges will be deciding who goes to the next round. From the semi-finals the audience can choose their favourite rider by applause.
Judges:
For every battle we will invite 3 "new" judges. Important for us is to have a good mix from former professionals, people knowing the scene and some unprejudiced loans. We think that should help to get relatively fair results. All judges have to deliberate after every battle and decide with two-thirds majority which rider goes to next round.
