What is “MOTO-BUNKA FILM FESTIVAL”?
Last year, 31 videos were entered from all over Japan, and top 10 videos were screened at the movie theater! An award ceremony was held after the screening for the BEST VIDEO OF THE YEAR, CREATIVE VIDEO OF THE YEAR, and BEST CLIP OF THE YEAR, which was judged and voted by the MBFF official judges.
Almost time again for the annual Mini FATJAM. We'll have to fix that dirt spot in the coming weeks to make sure everyone can enjoy a day of dirt riding at the Sugar Hills Trails in Aarle-Rixtel. The trails first appeared in 1990 and they're still there. It's also the first year we threw a Mini FATJAM. 2024 will be no different. Same concept. Bring your bike. Ride as much as you like. Hang out. Jump the Killer. Chill. Clear the doubles. Catch up. Find new lines. Crack a beer. Learn a new trick. Win a prize. Vans, Paul's Boutique and TSG have got you covered.
BMX-ers together in one place having fun. That's basically it. It's that simple. Help is welcome getting the jumps in shape, getting rid of the grass, making sure everything runs smoothly. There's plenty to be done and everyone can help. We'll have music and Paul will grab that microphone around 15:30hr which will be the time the goodies will find new owners. For those who've never been to a FATJAM, this is your chance.
The afterparty will take place at OJA. Anything goes at that place. So be prepared. Booking.com for places to stay. Google maps for Directions (Valkendijk, Aarle-Rixtel, Brabant, Netherlands). For those needing bike parts, contact Paul's Boutique BMX to see if he's got what you need.

When we talk about BMX racing and Horse racing you might think that these are two distant worlds apart, but actually, they do share some similarities. The first one involves human-powered bikes through dirt tracks, while the other features horses galloping towards the finish line. Yet, when you peel back the layers (and the mud), the similarities between the two are not only surprising but also wildly entertaining. Yes, it might sound confusing to compare BMXing to horse racing, but let’s see what these two sports have in common.
The Start
The start of BMX racing is very similar to horse racing. All the bikers are lined up, their muscles are tensed, their legs ready to spin the pedals, and they are waiting for the gate to drop. The start is crucial and can determine the whole race. In horse racing, we have pretty much the same thing. All the thoroughbreds and riders are lined up, the pulse is going through the roof, and they are all waiting for the barrier to be lifted. So, they have more in common than you might think. After the start of the race, it is all fast-paced action down the finishing line. Though, there is one evident difference. In BMX racing betting still isn’t very popular. In horse racing, betting is quite popular. In fact, you have to learn how to read the odds in horse racing before going to an event, which is not the case with BMX racing. Even if wagering on BMX racing becomes more prominent, the deciding factors will depend more on athletes, while in horse racing the factors depend on the horses.
