The BMXinvasion bike battle 6 competiton was overwhelmed with riders. It started out at 9am and ending at 8pm. A grand total of 117 riders from the east coast showed up to show their stuff in one of the toughest underground bmx competitions.

A young 16 year old ripper Garrett Reynolds took the first place trophy and prizes in pro with a flawless run.  A rider who calls himself "little Jeff" out of NJ took first in the expert class and got swarmed with congratulations from his friends and fellow riders. Jeff was stoked on his first ever win in bmx competition.

I was also pleased to have the Monster energy crew on board this year and they were handing out tasters through out the day to the riders and anyone else who wanted a top of the line refreshment. Special thanks from me to the east coast Monster energy representative Stephen Catalano for hooking us up with the product.

Dave Mirra has joined the SNAFU forces and will be helping them towards that ever-elusive goal of taking over the world. Well maybe that's being a bit too ambitious, so let's just say Dave’s on the team and everyone at Snafu is psyched. Here's a list of all the team guys for 2006.

Donny Robinson – Elite / AA Pro - dR is coming off his best year to date, adding his first Pro title - NBL National #1 Elite Cruiser - to his long list of accomplishments.  Plus, with finishing National #3 Elite/AA Pro in both sanctions and UCI World #7, Donny has set himself up for another great year.  Look for Donny’s Formula Pro and Formula Pro Cruiser at the top of many podiums in ’06.

“Chad will handle any tests that we are doing on smaller bikes and components," stated BMX World’s Greg Leasure. “Chad is known for his crazy skills and ultra smooth style, so he’s a perfect fit for testing out equipment and giving a trustworthy opinion.” Kerley, the only little guy on the Formula Factory Team, was stoked to hear the news. “Chad has worked and trained hard the last couple of years and it’s great that things are starting to pay off for him. He’s real excited and honored to be given this opportunity. He’s really taking this seriously,” stated Chad’s dad, Randy Kerley. Kerley stepped it up in 2005, winning a string of big races that culminated in his first NAG #1 title.

BMX World has turned some heads lately, giving the BMX world a full color magazine almost entirely devoted to racing.

January 16, 2005 – Vancouver, BC  Canada.  Ten Pack Distribution is pleased to announce the dates for the 2006 Toronto Metro BMX Jam, March 3-5, 2006, running in conjunction with the Toronto International Bike Show. North America’s largest Pro/Am freestyle contest series returns to the Ricoh Coliseum for our third year. Leave it up to the Fly Bikes crew to come up with a new Recyclable cardboard DVD case. The Spanish company just finished their first team video called UNO which starts off with some amateur acting from the team riders calling each other for a session. With the help of some pallets and some Spanish music the first part is already a way for them to show that anyone can build something to ride if you use your imagination. The mobile Skatepark (the pallets) is then burnt on the beach.
