Pan American Championship BMX cycling kicks-off Friday (Oct. 21) at the CODE Saint Nicholas in Guadalajara. Team USA, ranked No. 2 in the UCI Nations ranking behind Australia for women and No. 3 behind France and Australia for men, will be represented by two riders in both the men’s and women’s event. The Pan American Games offers category 5 UCI points that count toward the nation ranking, which determines the number of start spots the U.S. earns for the 2012 Olympic Games.
