It is with great excitement that Krusher BMX would like to formally welcome Ohio native Nick Bruce to their pro team. Krusher joins a strong family of brands supporting Nick including Total Bikes, Rockstar Energy Drink and Alienation. Nick has been on the forefront of progressive park riding for a number of years now, managing to secure several podium finishes at large contests and is quickly becoming a household name within the realm of BMX park.
Most recently Nick placed 4th at Fise action sports festival and has also qualified for the upcoming X-games. A class act on and off the bike, we look forward to working with Nick to help progress our brand and his already impressive riding.
Krusher BMX is a Canadian BMX brand that was originally operated by the ‘‘Krusher boys’’ in the late 90s. Ownership of the brand was transferred to a friend in 2004. Professional BMX athlete Stephen Murray moved to California to pursue and live the action sports dream. The mind-set and focus of Stephen in his racing days are what helped him to the top in 2001 when he won gold at both the X and Gravity Games, pulling backflips and 360 flip variations. His do or die, go big approach is what set him apart from other athletes and made him a global BMX hero. In 2007, whilst competing at the 2007 Dew Tour in Baltimore, Stephen suffered a life-changing accident that left him paralysed from the neck down and confined to a wheel chair.

The fourth installment in the Real Series 2017 schedule, Real BMX, launches today, June 14, with six never-before-seen BMX video parts debuting on XGames.com at 12 p.m. ET. A full World of X Games episode will air June 24 on ABC, featuring all six video parts, behind-the-scenes footage and athlete interviews. The videos will be judged by a panel of industry experts and their selections for which athlete/filmer teams will be awarded X Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be announced on the ABC broadcast. Cash prizes will be awarded to the medalists. Saturday 17 June Pro BMX riders will meet up in Eindhoven, Netherlands for the second edition of the 040 BMX Invitational, a Spine Miniramp contest held in the city centre. The 040BMXPARK Spine Ramp will be built up at the 18 Septemberplein during the E-Moves festival that will attract international fans of all kinds of Urban Sports. On Friday evening the practice session will take place with the entire contest scheduled for Saturday June 17th.

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is delighted to announce that the International Olympic Committee(IOC) has agreed to add BMX Freestyle Park to the Programme of the Tokyo 2020 OlympicGames. The decision was made at today’s meeting of the IOC Executive Board in Lausanne, Switzerland.
BMX Freestyle Park is a spectacular, crowd-pleasing discipline, which takes place on ramps with bigtransitions and large obstacles. Competitors are judged on tricks performed throughout the course, with points awarded based on difficulty, originality, style and execution. Each rider in both the men’s and women’s events gets two one-minute runs (which both count) to impress the judges, who will reward therider with a score between 0-100 points, with the ultimate goal being the award of an Olympic gold medal.
Famous riders include Logan Martin (Australia), Daniel Dhers (Venezuela), Alex Coleborn (Great Britain) for men, Nikita Ducarroz (Switzerland), Macarena Perez (Chile) and UCI World Cup title holder, 15-year-old Hannah Roberts (USA) for women. In addition, in line with the UCI’s strategy to promote women’s cycling and the IOC’s Agenda 2020, it was agreed that for Mountain Bike and BMX Racing, several quotas previously allocated to men athletes would be transferred to women, achieving full gender equity in both disciplines.

The world’s top athletes will compete in three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park – to secure their invitations to X Games Minneapolis.
