For young talented Motocross riders around the world the Grand Prix series is where it's at. With most GP races being held in Europe, that's probably where your home base will need to be during the season. South African Tyla Rattray made the move a few years ago and is still hunting that MX2 world title. He's been close, but not close enough so he'll give it another shot in 2007, once again riding for the Factory KTM/Red Bull squad. Tyla rides some BMX in his spare time so use that as the connection for his interview on FATBMX. 

On 7 October 2006 a new concrete skatepark will be opened in Vidy, Switzerland. From 11:00am - 12:00am speeches will be held but after that the action cuts loose with BMX and skate demos and an evening concert until 22:00pm at night with a Disco Music DJ. During the day a lot of booths will be set up for more info.

While on tour with the PB-team we tried to find the DirtE19 trails with help of our new friend TomTom, it took a bit longer than normal but found it pretty quickly near the Antwerp E19 highway. The trails were super good and so was the weather, lots of riders from Belgium and Hellmond were present and with names like Sig Cools and Greg den Tulder you know there is action too. A wooden starting hill on the right lane provided enough speed for the riders, even younger kids were able to jump the right line but don't think they were pussy jumps!

-The KHE Method2 frame is built with Japan seamless Sanko CrMo tubing, Mid Size BB, Laser cut dropouts, heat treated Headtube/BB/Dropouts, 14mm axle slot, integrated headset, triple & double butted tubes & cone seat/chain stay tubes. KHE got the frame weight down to 2,1kg. 

The last Canadian concrete jam came and went at Canada’s oldest and most famous Skatepark: sSeylynn in North Vancouver. The lotek and etnies teams were in attendance, and this classic snake run to bowl got sessioned like it never has before. The locals were even impressed (even the 26+ year riding vet of seylynn, Mr. Ron Mercer). The ams were ready for the big gaps, and huge transfers; with Nick Muryn making all the big gaps with style and height. It was his first time riding this park, which all of us found hard to believe. The “sunshine coast” area breeds talent on a BMX: Dustin G, Wade Laljar, Nathan Penonzek, and now Nick Muryn. Must be something about fresh air and clean water… 

Last weekend the Evolution 3 contest took place in Domzale Slovenia. The local park is one of the smallest you will see but is one of the best in our county. Yes Slovenia is still one of countries who spends way too much money in football , skiing…and don’t give a f**k about extreme sports. Luckily Evolution BMX shop opened this year so we can buy some BMX bikes and parts in Slovenia. And now we are negotiating to get our first indoor place in Slovenia.

Taking its name from the laundry list of injuries incurred by the Hoffman team during filming, 'Broke Off' chronicles the exploits of the Hoffman Bikes international team, including Seth Kimbrough, Ryan Barrett, Sebastian Keep, Will Love, Mat Hoffman, Brad Simms, Anthony Napolitan, Mark Potoczny, Zack Warden, Jeremie Infelise, Jon Taylor, Chris Souter, Billy Kibler and other team riders.
