FBM is proud to announce the following riders to the Official FBM team where they are joining Mike Tag, Billy Ashby, Derrick Girard, Joel Barnett, Mickey Marshal, Ruel "Wormz" Smith, Garrett Guilliams and Joey Juarsiti.

SE Bikes is stoked to announce our newest dirt/street/park rider, Pat “Lumpy” Laughlin. Coming out of Bensalem, PA, Pat is able to tear it up on any terrain that comes his way. When not doing shows for Hell on Wheels or the Freecycle teams, Lumpy is usually found in his back yard which is home to some of the biggest dirt jumps on the East Coast.

Just after hooking up with SE Bikes, Pat threw a benefit jam at his trails to raise money for Stephen Murray, a fellow BMXer who had a career ending injury in 2007. After riding all day Saturday at the benefit, he went on to the Red Bull “Down and Dirty” contest in Asbury Park, NJ. Not only was Pat on the winning team, but he also won the Best Trick award. Pat donated his winnings to the Stephen Murray Fund.

Pat will be hitting dirt, park and street contests as well as traveling this year doing shows at events ranging from school shows to NASCAR races. Keep an eye out for this kid in ’08.

After his stellar year in 2007, including winning both the X Games and AST Cup in BMX Park, Daniel Dhers has been honored with a nomination as the Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the Year. This is a very prestigious award - the Patron of Laureus is Nelson Mandela and the winners are selected by a jury including sport superstars from Tony Hawk to Dan Marino. Other nominees in the action sports category include Shaun White, Ryan Sheckler and Mick Fanning. Dhers is beyond stoked and is looking forward to checking out St. Petersburg, Russia and all the fancy events that go with the ceremony including a black-tie dinner at the St Petersburg Philharmonic Grand Hall. Have a feeling this might be a tad different then the Arby's Action Sports Awards after-party.

And onother video by Woozy, based on the Eastpak presence.  It's pretty high-tech these days. Before checking in to fly home we watched the Eastpak movie on the free airport internet computer. Took a photo of it and posted it right here (free wireless once again) before getting on the plane. You can watch the movie too, it's right here:

The Simpel Session was followed by the paparazzi pretty well. It was streamed live on the internet so you probably saw what went on already. Now that the place is taken down you are stuck with the videos that are online. We'll have a report up in the next day or two with some photos of the event (real paparazzi party pics too) but next to the Freecaster clips, we now also have a clip that Woozy made. 

So three years ago was the first time I ever talked to Crandall in my life. I was a scared little kid that wanted nothing more then to ride a bike and have some fun. I was nervous as hell on the phone and the big talk was all about if I would fit in on the team since I have never drank in my life. I did not know how well I would fit in and how road trips would go. Crandall talks to me for a while and told me all about the two Tony's and how they were not drinkers and by the end of the phone call I was on FBM and ready to go.

So a few months later was Road Fools 14 and that was the first time I met Crandall and the rest was a blast. We had the best of times over seas and on road trips. I never had any idea bike riding would do what it has done, but I go outside ride like I am 12. I could not ever have pick a better team then FBM to get into this whole thing. We had the sweetest team with the two Tony's, Cameron Wood, Derrick Girard and Tag. I was able to design shirt with glasses on them, a Saved by the Bell themed frame with some bright colors and loved it all.
