A Total of 17,861 in Attendance For The First Day Of Competition Sao Paulo, Brazil ? The inaugural X Games Brazil kicked off today in Sao Paulo as 17,861 screaming fans welcomed a world-class, international field of action sports athletes. The first day of competition showcased some of the world's best action sports athletes competing in BMX Street, BMX Vert, Skateboard Street and Moto X Best Trick at the Sambodromo do Anhembi in Sao Paulo. "We knew bringing the X Games to Sao Paulo would be big, but today significantly exceeded all of our expectations," said Rick Alessandri, Senior Vice President, ESPN Consumer Products and X Games Franchise Managing Director. Mongoose riders spend a lot of time on a plane. That comes with boring time at airports. When you have the laptop around and you can find an internet connection you can make that time go by a little faster. Like blogging for your sponsor's website. In what is probably one of the weirdest and quickest Double A Pro switches since the Redline/Haro Griggs/King team switch of the early 90's it seems that Supercross and Crupi are doing a little pro swapping. After just over 1 month on the Supercross Factory team Tyler Brown left for the Green of Team Crupi leaving an opening on the Supercross Factory Roster. Not wanting to fill the vacancy with just any AA Pro as we want a rider that has loyalty to the program and is as nice to the kids and fans
Today 25 April is a special day in The Netherlands. It's called "Lintjesdag" where people who have done special things for the community receive recognition. It was Gerrit Does' turn to make the trip to the Local Council where he received appreciation by the Mayor for all his work he has done for BMX. The list is almost endless and the Mayor had to keep it short. Gerrit was the last one to expect being called in for the honour and had already planned a trip to Germany on his motor bike for the day. 
After watching the dirt jumping in Germany in the weekend I had to go out and ride a bit myself. On Tuesday the termite destructor visited our place and I wasn't allowed in the toxic house for two hours. Great reason to drive up to Leende for a session at the Pony Trails. I didn't expect anyone to be there at 11:30am and I was right. A few new jumps were built since last time I was there and it all didn't look too crazy. Tables became doubles and some jumps were added to the middle line. That's where things went bad.
