Mark Owens' nickname "Chuck D" is the same as the front man for the hip-hop group Public Enemy. Besides being the most politically charged rap group in the latter part of the 20th century, PE is McGoo's favorite band. "I've seen PE four times, and I want to kick the white man¹s ass every time I leave the building. If Sidewall Distribution is the Chuck D of BMX, then SNAFU is the sport's Flavor Flav. Sidewall's message of afrocentric intellectuality combined with SNAFU's outlandish non-conformity will be a powerful force in the BMX game. Armageddon in effect, brotha."
