GENERAL SUMMARY Manage and own the strategic planning and execution of all Vans’ events and activation platforms to support business and brand equity growth. Leverage key events & platforms across EMEA,
adapting concepts based on different market maturity levels, reinforcing global consistency and local relevancy. Proven team player fostering cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders and ensuring proper integration within the Go To Market plan.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelop, drive and own event strategy for Vans EMEA. Prioritize event concepts and activation platforms to reinforce Vans’ positioning and optimize the weight of Action Sports, Music, Art and Fashion pillars according to brand vision and strategy.
Collaborate with Vans global event & promotion department to ensure consistency and leverage of global / shared events and activation platforms. Manage and drive event and activation platforms, from strategic planning to execution, through best in class project management (road map, Gantt chart, guidelines, legal implication, etc…). Partner with third parties to elevate, produce and execute key events and activation platforms. Work closely with PR, Media, Interactive, Athletes, Environmental experts to ensure optimum distribution and reach of all content generated from events and activation platforms.
Ensure GTM integration of all events and activation platforms, providing local markets with clear concepts, calendars, tools and guidelines, as well as creating consistency across all channels. Manage pan-EMEA event budgets to ensure economies of scale and synergies across all event plans & tools for optimum return on investment. Monitor and report functional budget on a monthly basis, and be positioned to readily identify spent, committed and planned status at all times.
Analyse results and provide comprehensive reports of all Vans’ events and activation platforms.
Regularly gather market feedback to further improve effectiveness of brand event strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position. Marketing or Business Degree; Bachelor / Master level
At least 4 years experience in marketing function that requires strategic planning and execution.
Deep understanding of the Vans brand as well as the action sports, music, art and fashion industry.
