Position Overview
The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for working with the brand manager in developing and executing plans that support the growth, goals and objectives of the company’s brands. Working with all divisions of the company to implement strategies, campaigns and assets which increase brand awareness, create a strong reputation, and ultimately drive sales growth.
Position Responsibilities
-Assist in creating consumer demand through all aspects of the brand
-Assist in coordinating objectives between sales, marketing, creative and design departments
-Assist in continual improvement to the customer experience, both B2B and B2C
-Assist in maintaining and guiding the brands visual identity and marketing direction in a unified and profitable way
-Assists in developing and executing promotional initiatives to increase sales, working within budgets
-Assist in determining and managing budgets for promotions, advertising, product development, etc.
-Coordinating product releases and purchasing practices with marketing initiatives
-Analyze market opportunities and competitors to create better brand strategies and achieve company goals
-Maintain a deep understanding of the product line and identify improvement areas
-Monitor and analyze sales, market trends and competitor activity
-Continually identify and address brand improvement areas
-Staying in the know of the global BMX market, bicycle industry, and all internal projects
-Marketing support through web updates, copywriting, and social media
-Customer relations and support via email and social media
-Creating reports, order forms, company documents and policy’s
-Managing advertising spends and release schedules
-Managing event sponsorships and promotions
Requirements
-Highly reliable, detail oriented and organized
-Excellent time management skills
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Ability to be self-sufficient, proactive and take initiative
-Ability to meet deadlines, accomplish tasks with minimal supervision and provide mistake-free
work
-Must be a collaborative team player and work well in group environments
-Willingness to learn and do whatever job needs to be done
-Staying in tune with BMX market trends and competitors
-Business to business experience desired
-Required Software Skills
-High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Dropbox software
-Intermediate to high proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Issuu
-Intermediate proficiency in Wordpress / WooCommerce CMS platforms
-Entry to intermediate proficiency in Quickbooks and ACT! CRM desired
Education
-Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory if sufficient experience
Experience
-Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the BMX or closely related industry
