o Execute short and long-term strategies and programs for maintaining the BMX programs at the top of the international standings through competitions plans, allocation of resources, team selection criteria, and support staff management.
o Responsible for ensuring athletes are supported at the highest possible level to achieve remarkable international success
o Identify, recruit, and develop new talent for the BMX race program through management of the USA Cycling BMX Development Team.
o Lead 20+ athletes, multiple staff members, and coordinate a wide range of external partners and stakeholders.
o Ensure athlete selection and program access processes are adhered to and implemented in a fair and transparent manner.
o Collaborate with all stakeholders for success in fundraising, sponsorship development, brand management, and external communications.
o Effectively recruit and manage support staff and partners.
o Execute day-to-day operations of the program to ensure the efficient use of facility, financial and people resources. Manage facility operation including maintenance of equipment and athlete access.
o Oversee budget management, expense reporting and reimbursements for both freestyle and race programs.
o Foster a supportive and positive environment which ensures the health and well-being of athletes and staff.
o Administer BMX sessions in the absence of BMX & Sprint Performance Director and Assistant Coach, including the gate start system, timing systems and general facilitation of sessions.
o Maintain a high level of contact with key partners within the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and ensure that program requests are completed.
o Schedule medical coverage with Sports medicine and with Track/BMX Freestyle sessions.
o Other duties as assigned.

o Extensive sports administration skills and demonstrated leadership experience

o Willingness to work non-traditional work hours including some weekends and holidays
Education
o Associate’s Degree preferred or related work experience Experience
o Basic account budgeting experience with spreadsheets
o Strong sport management background and understanding of BMX race and freestyle events
Software Utilized:
o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), team management software, training and performance analysis software, video editing software, cloud based file sharing systems
Travel:
o 20%
o Frequent air and ground travel will be required
