-What new products are you bringing to Las Vegas that people need to check out?
Concave pedals, Mayweather cranks, Mirracle grips, JRI Bars, Captain Stems, J-Bar seatposts and Love seats in new colors; Brakeless rims/wheels; New Deuce forged 7075 alloy cranks for 700c, BMX racing and urban freeride MTB's
-Are any of your riders coming to Interbike?
Brad Simms, Matt Bischoff, Dave Mirra, Jeremiah Smith are scheduled to be at Interbike. If they show up, we'll do the usual team dinner and slutfest (well, everyone but Dave... he's married.)
-Would you think a contest at Interbike would be a good idea since loads of people (industry/riders/media) are there already?
That is a great idea. Vans hosted one in vegas the same weekend as Interbike 3-4 years ago, and it was good. Interbike should spearhead such an effort the way organizers at Eurobike do it... demo's and demo areas are cool.
-What would make the 2008 edition of Interbike a success for you?
When we can sit face to face with our friends and customers at Interbike, even if just for an hour over coffee or drinks, I consider it a success. I'm really looking forward to meeting some new customers we've picked up this year. Victor from Latvia, for instance, is a new customer we've never met. Interbike also gives me time to meet my vendors to get a jump on 2009 new developments.
2009 is SNAFU's 10th year in BMX, and we are planning a big presentation and party in Taiwan next March to get things started. We'll culminate the year-long celebration at Interbike by hosting one of our famous Chinese dinners in Las Vegas. '09 is an important year for us, and I'm taking a very active role in assuring our continued success.
