Company: Verde
Interbike booth number: 5357
-Have you decided to be part of the BMX zone this year and why? Yes. It makes sense for us all to be together. The convention center is so big as it is, it would suck to walk anymore than you have to! Also, shops don't necessarily seek out BMX product, so grouping our category makes it convenient for them.
-What new products are you bringing to Las Vegas that people need to check out? This year will be the first year for Greenhouse Distribution to have a booth. We will be displaying product from Verde, Duo, Fly bikes, and Cinema. As for products on display Duo and Fly always offer sleek, innovative parts, I think this will be the first viewing of Cinema product, and the Verde '09 completes will be on display and are sure to turn heads.
-Any special activities going on at the booth during the show? Our friend and artist
Don Pendleton (elephont.com) will be hand painting a Verde frame to be custom built and given away to benefit the
Stephen Murray Family Fund . Swing by the booth on Wednesday 24th to make a donation entering yourself to win the custom bike.
-How many people are going to help out in your booth during the show? Our whole crew will be present:
Steve, Cory, Lou, and myself.
-Are you actually taking orders at the show or is it more to show products to the dealers and get contacts? We're there to do it all.
-Are any of your riders coming to Interbike? I will be there.
-Would you think a contest at Interbike would be a good idea since loads of people (industry/riders/media) are there already? No. I think one of the big reasons riders like to go is to hang out and party with no obligations. It is nice to have a few days just to see friends, catch up, and not stress about your runs.
-What party are you looking forward to? To be honest, none. I just want to see the people I don't get to see often. Riding and traveling introduces you to people from all around, its hard to visit everyone!
-What would make the 2008 edition of Interbike a success for you? Sell some bikes, see some friends, and get back to Portland for the rest of summer!
