Stereo is a new company from Germany that has started making complete bikes which they showed off in Munich. Allride had some 2010 Kink bikes on display as well as new FIT plastic pedals, 2010 Alienation rims and a batch of Lotek shoe samples. I could have called it a day there and to be honest, those booths were the only stands with real BMX people.
But I had time to kill so I kept on walking, looking for more. At the Bulls booth they had three terrible complete bikes. Shitty spec'd, horrible graphics and way too expensive. They even had a POW model but hopefully the bikes will never make it to Westminster. If you wear gloves Troyan had a full van of them with loads of different designs. Oakley had an outside display with new glasses, POC also showed some protection gear and inside we also found some FSA carbon headsets for those who really want to save weight on everything. Some Chinese stand had horrible BMX bikes that makes you wonder who buys that shit. If you're a bit serious, buy at a good BMX shop and get some decent advice. It gets you further than buying a cheap bike that falls apart. The Bike Expo only had two halls filled plus some outdoor stands and test tracks. It needs time to grow but in my opinion it will never beat Eurobike. More news about that show in a couple of weeks.
