ESPN X Games will add a special Dave Mirra BMX Park Best Trick competition to X Games Austin 2016 in honor and memory of the X Games and BMX legend. The competition celebrating Mirra’s life and legacy will take place on Saturday, June 4, at the Circuit of The Americas, where the winner of the competition will be awarded the Mirra Golden Pedal and prize money. Admittance to the competition will be available to X Games Austin ticket holders that day on a first come-first serve basis.
Due to a limited amount of practice time available, the Pro riders field at this year's Simple Session doesn't pass the 100 number. That doesn't mean the action will be less insane. Dhers, Ricany, Peraza, Smillie, Coleborn, Ray, Edgar, Donnachie, Casey, Raiford, Wedemeijer, Hoffmann, Walker, Varga, Coulomb, AK, AJ, they're all coming over just to name a few. Street as well as park riders on the same platforms for a weekend of absolute BMX madness. If you cannot make it there,
From the 29th of April till the 1st of May Amsterdam is the place to be in the Netherlands for everybody who loves BMX. During this weekend Soulcycle BMX shop is the host of the one and only 'Soulcycle BMX Championships'. On some of the most famous Amsterdam hotspots BMX dirt, street, park and flatland action will take place.
“Amsterdam got loads of BMXers and some great BMX history was made over here. It’s time to write some history again” says Koen de Groot, owner of Soulcycle BMX shop and organizer of the ‘Soulcycle BMX Championships‘.
The kick-off of the Championships is on Friday the 29th of April with a big flatland contest at the Westergas area. Years ago Soulcycle organized the Flatground BMX series at this venue. Which made this a memorable place for the international flatland scene worldwide. The contest starts at 14h.
You wouldn't expect a dirt contest to happen on a Wednesday in The Netherlands. Wapenveld isn't necessarily a town that's on the BMX map either, but that will change. On 27 April, during Kingsday, when the whole of Holland turns orange, Monster Energy is presenting a big dirt comp with big names. Ben Wallace (England) and Kyle Baldock (Australia) are on the riders list. They'll be going to the Simple Session afterwards but first the current X-Games gold medalist will show Wapenveld what BMX is all about. Baldock in The Netherlands on a Wednesday, time to grab that orange shirt and head in the direction of Zwolle.
With Monster Energy backing the event, the pro purse is €2500 Euros. More BMX Dirt top riders such as Patrick Guimez (FRA), Nicky van der Veen (NED), Kenneth Tancré (BEL), Tobi Merz (AUT) and Freestyle Games winner Tom van den Bogaard have announced their presence. DJ Winchester will take care of the

The top 6 riders will be invited (flight, hotel, registration, food) to the Flat Ark contest in Kobe at the end of October. Now start planning and practising!

On April 23rd the legendary Orange Juice Street Jam returns to Amsterdam. On this day we will also release our brand new Summer '16 collection. You already know this is the most crazy jam of the year so you can’t miss out on this one! Prepare yourself for some sick spots, traffic madness, good times
In 1990 we kicked off the outdoor season on the newly built Sugar Hills at the Valkendijk in Aarle-Rixtel. The day of riding on the dirt jumps turned out to be the very first Mini FATJAM. Fast forward to 2016 and we're still kicking off the season with the annual jam at the same dirt jump spot. The Mini FATJAM is one of those days that the (local) riders are looking forward to. Next to getting to ride with their heroes, chances are high that they'll go home with one of the many prices from the sponsors of the event.
Also this year's jam is free to attend. It's free to ride and parking doesn't cost you anything. The use of the toilet is gratis and it looks like we'll have free drinks for the older riders thanks to Red Bull. Where other events try to take all your money in one way or the other, the Mini FATJAM is a perfect day out for anyone on a budget. Fixing the trails, putting up banners, and picking up trash doesn't cost anything either so lend a helping hand while you're
