The Simpel Session was followed by the paparazzi pretty well. It was streamed live on the internet so you probably saw what went on already. Now that the place is taken down you are stuck with the videos that are online. We'll have a report up in the next day or two with some photos of the event (real paparazzi party pics too) but next to the Freecaster clips, we now also have a clip that Woozy made. 

So three years ago was the first time I ever talked to Crandall in my life. I was a scared little kid that wanted nothing more then to ride a bike and have some fun. I was nervous as hell on the phone and the big talk was all about if I would fit in on the team since I have never drank in my life. I did not know how well I would fit in and how road trips would go. Crandall talks to me for a while and told me all about the two Tony's and how they were not drinkers and by the end of the phone call I was on FBM and ready to go.

So a few months later was Road Fools 14 and that was the first time I met Crandall and the rest was a blast. We had the best of times over seas and on road trips. I never had any idea bike riding would do what it has done, but I go outside ride like I am 12. I could not ever have pick a better team then FBM to get into this whole thing. We had the sweetest team with the two Tony's, Cameron Wood, Derrick Girard and Tag. I was able to design shirt with glasses on them, a Saved by the Bell themed frame with some bright colors and loved it all.

This FAT Friday (#4) is coming to you from Tallinn, Estonia. We have arrived here for the Simpel Session contest. Pim van den Bos, Paul and I took a train to Amsterdam to catch our flight. In the waiting zone we met up with Morgan Wade and Will Stroud and in the hotel lobby the chaos had already started. I'll try to sum up some news for you in short:

Happy New Year everybody----- from Stephen in Baltimore----- and all of the Murray Family. 2008 has got to be a year of successful physical therapy, resulting in regaining some use full physical movements of some limbs. Everything is now set up to achieve results and here we are in Baltimore at the start of some very special treatments in The International Spinal Cord Injury Center of The Kennedy Krieger Institute. This is run by the world renowned neurologist Dr. John McDonald, who has spent a great many years researching spinal cord injuries and who spent 3 years helping Superman actor Christopher Reeves regain some functions.

He is a guy who truly believes that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE and is dialed in to Stephen big time. The pair of them are totally dedicated to regaining movement , so as long as Stephen can keep himself well medically, I am sure that they will succeed. Stephen spent Christmas and New Year at their new [to them] home in Riverside with his wife Melissa, sons Seth 5 and Mason 2 , but after 4 weeks in a home environment, Stephen and Melissa flew to the East coast of America to begin a 6 week program with Dr. John McDonald in Baltimore. Unfortunately , the long flight and everything that it entailed ,resulted in Stephen having the most chronic neck pain ,and after 4 days was admitted to E.R. with Pneumonia and a bladder infection. 

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Silver Dollar Nationals this past weekend, January, 11-13 in Reno, NV. The weather was a little rough leading up to the event this year with about 10 feet of snow coming in to the Reno area, but the Reno crew always does a great job on the track and facility and the event went off without a hitch! The racing at the Silver Dollars event was second to none! ABA BMX stepped it up in the track department and Billy Allen built a very challenging track to kick off the season. 

This weekend is shaking up to be a battle royale, as teams from all over the US make their way to the Coyote National at Estrella Mtn. BMX in Goodyear, AZ. The Coyote National is awarding a double team payout to its teams on Day 1 and that’s just a hint of all the excitement happening Jan. 25th-27th. After the Christmas Classic, team Intense/Phantom/Ontrac was setting the standard of the early season for the National Teams. But not far behind OFR/Cyaa and Dan’s Comp were battling to take over the lead.
