Freecaster, since 2004 the leading provider of action sports video on the Internet has entered into a partnership with ESPN to feature the X Games 13. 
"X Games, as the leading multi-sport actions sports series, adds another great event series to the roster of content available on Freecaster.tv” says Raymond Dulieu, founder of Freecaster. 

USA Cycling announced today the eight athletes it will send to the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup event in Beijing, August 20-21. The competition is set to serve as the official test event for the 2008 Olympic Games next summer. Four men - Kyle Bennett (Conroe, Texas), Donny Robinson (Napa, Calif.), Mike Day (Santa Clarita, Calif.) and Randy Stumpfhauser (Sanger, Calif.) - received nominations to the team.

Day, Robinson and Stumpfhauser were automatically selected as the top three riders in the 2007 USA Cycling Elite Men's BMX Rankings as of May 20 respectively. Bennett received a coaches' selection after capturing his third career world title on Saturday at the UCI BMX World Championships in Victoria, B.C.

Four women were also selected for the squad - Krystal Hime (San Antonio, Texas), Kim Hayashi (Chandler, Ariz.), Amanda Geving (Largo, Fla.) and Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.). 

Peter Geys & his crew are organizing a vert and dirt contest that is taking place in the city of Hechtel (Belgium) on Saturday 4 August next. The vert comp will be held on the halfpipe that was used at the 2007 BMX Masters in Cologne. The Dirt Jumps will be built by the DirtE19 crew together with Mike. The Pro and Amateur prizes that have been gathered have a value of over 2000 euros and come from Odyssey, Haro and Premium.

The AST Dew Tour announced the winner of the PlayStation® Trick of the Week Award from the Right Guard Open. Voting began on Monday, July 23, the day after competitions ended. Fans were able to view video clips and vote online at astdewtour.com until Monday, July 30. Fans selected Francisco Zurita as the PlayStation® Trick of the Week winner after he performed the first triple tailwhip on a vert ramp in competition during the BMX Vert Finals. Zurita finished in sixth place in the finals.

“This truly surprises me and it is a blessing,” said Zurita. “I don't really know what to say except thank you to all the fans who voted for me, thank god, and of course thank you to the crew at the AST Dew Tour for putting together great events like the Right Guard Open!"
