Recently I was on tha Famous Stars And Straps Tour 07 & while N New York I met Up with Mr. Kaves from tha band, "Lordz of Brooklyn", he just signed a deal with tha TV Network, MSG (Madison Square Garden) 2 do a reality show 'bout his life, his band & raisin' a family N New York. So I was a guest on tha show & taught his son how 2 ride a BMX bike & laced him Up with sum goodies. Tha show will air N2 10 MILLION HOMES............pretty cool & stoked 2 B a part of It! 

Staats Bicycles has moved our warehouse and opened up a new retail store front. The new location is large enough to use as a warehouse and is in a great location for retail. The new Staats Bike Shop is just minutes away from some of the best mountain bike trails in Utah, two awesome Skate and BMX parks and only 15 minutes from the World famous RAD Canyon BMX track.

1) What does the Elevation comp mean to you?
Good times riding bmx with great friends, doesn't get better than that!

2) Do you fancy riding real trails going down a hill?
I fancy any type of trails.

3) Have you seen photos of the 2007 dirt jumps yet? 
I have seen some photo's of the jumps, they look amazing. I have been counting the day's till Elevation.

4) How bad do you think it is that Dirt is no longer a discipline in the X-Games? 

It's good to see all the support towards Stephen Murray. At this moment he's undergoing another 7 hour surgery but his friends don't sit still. We all want this to work out the best way possible for Stephen and it's important to show your support. It not only gives Stephen but also his family and close friends a lot of strength.

Next to the fundraisers also "Stephen-Murray-support" stickers and T-shirts are being printed, there's a Myspace that's dedicated to the recovery, jams are being organized and you can now leave a message for Stephen in the left column here on FATBMX.

Russell Merry of Hot Wheels, BMX distributor since 1981 selling Mongoose, GT and WTP, has created a Gov.uk petition asking for the prime minister to shelve the 14 per cent import duty on bicycles. Merry's petition says: "Almost all bicycles sold in the UK are manufactured in the Far East. UK manufacturing on any large scale ended some time ago." Bicycles are subject to an import duty of 14% which, when compared to consumer electronics rates of near zero, is bonkers.

"We have childhood obesity issues, congestion, global warming and an aging population that needs exercise - the bicycle has a role to play in the resolution of all these issues. It seems crazy that the tax regime encourages a kid to sit in front of a bicycle extreme sports computer game rather than go out and ride his bike. My petition is to raise awareness of this anomaly and to encourage politicians at the highest level to start the necessary trade talks to abolish duty on a

Colorado Springs, Colo. (June, 2007)—USA Cycling announced the nine athletes who have automatically qualified to represent the United States at the 2007 UCI BMX World Championships under its “Funded Team” criteria. Four elite men, three elite women, and two junior athletes have qualified for funding. As the top-three elite men in the latest edition of the USA Cycling BMX Rankings, Mike Day (Santa Clarita, Calif.), Randy Stumpfhauser (Sanger, Calif.) and Donny Robinson (Napa, Calif.) met the automatic selection criteria, while Kyle Bennett (Conroe, Texas) was selected by the USA Cycling Athletic Department based on his two victories this season at the NBL Easter Classic and the NBL Golden State National.

 According to the latest edition of the UCI BMX rankings published last week, Robinson and Day are currently ranked number one and two in the world respectively while Stumpfhauser is ranked 14th. Together, the trio has the United States ranked number one in the world in men’s BMX racing.
