The 3 Backyard digger stops for Germany have been announced. This upcoming weekend (8-9-10 June) the  Red Bull heavy equipment will visit the G-Spot in Trier to fix up the trails on the Kleeburgerweg. When the trails are fixed, a session will follow on Sunday 3 June. Other spots that Benny Paulsen and his crew will patch up and modify (for the better) are:
-Bad Saeckingen (Murgerweg) on 15-17 June
-Arnsdorf (Gewerbegebied) on 27-29 July

Q : What made you decide to want to move to America with your bike?
A : Well, I grew up riding my bike and knew that the US is one of the best places to ride your bike, there is a lot of riders around and bikeparks, and bikeshops. I always thought that the US would be the best bet, and in 2003 a friend offered me a job in Dallas, TX, so after that I just decided to come.

Q : What is the best place you have ridden so far in the States?

Mat Hoffman will compete again at the Suzuki BMXMasters Don’t call it a comeback. After a successful contest comeback at the Suzuki BMXMasters last year Mat Hoffman aka "The Condor“ will be back for more in 2007. Mat about the BMXMasters: "I’ll be there once again to celebrate this amazing event and the community that surrounds it“.

Top-class riders in Cologne. Already two months before the BMXMasters will start we have many confirmations of a-class riders. Besides Mat Hoffman there will be Justin Miller, last years winner in the discipline flatland and Chris Doyle, winner in the discipline dirt at the BMXMasters 2006. Furthermore we will have Simon Tabron, Dave Osato, who brings down the house at last years miniramp final.

Making it to the X-Games isn't easy. In fact, you have to be selected to be able to ride. With so much talent around this decision isn't the easiest one to make. 5 riders in each discipline (Vert and Park) have been announced. Both Chad Kagy and Scotty Cranmer were automatically invited because of their wins in 2006. The remaining riders will be chosen after a few of the bigger contests have taken place.

On Sunday 20th of May there was an important freestyle event for Russia as it was the first official competition in Russia in BMX park dedicated to the opening of the biggest BMX park in Russia and maybe in Eastern Europe.  Pro rider Alexey Malinin took the first place with a big score advantage over his rivals. Now Alexey Malinin (REDLINE , VANS , PRO-TEC, BOLLE) goes into the Russian BMX history books as the first winner of the first official competition.

Let’s talk about the Empire of Dirt event. You’ve organized jams before but this one is of a whole other level with people coming over from all over the world. Are you ready for it?
Kye Forte: I think the event is going to be pretty nuts, at least I hope so, we put a lot of work into it. It has been a year in the planning. It’s going to be different. Everyone’s there, everyone’s having fun, you can’t compare it with anything else, it’s going to be a week where everyone is really going to enjoy themselves. Normally people say they’re having a great time at a contest but half the time they’re not. They’re lying but the Empire of Dirt is going to be really fun.

A few of the United crew are currently on the road, on a 10 day jaunt from Louisville to Little Rock. They are being guided by Leland in the veggie Shitluck wagon, so we imagine the trip will have its fair share of action. The United site has daily updates featuring video clips, and random pictures. Days 1,2 and 3 are up there now (plus a photo of Mark Vos' new ride).

Ten Pack Distribution is proud to welcome Chris Silva of the Toronto ICC crew to the Ten Pack team. Chris will represent Animal, MacNeil and he’ll be wearing Little Devil Clothing.
