So, it’s the mythical city of ISTANBUL that will host the next ”BURNING INK Art Show”, presented by DC SHOES Europe. The exhibition will be on from March 29th until April 12th 2013. ISTANBUL, formerly known as Byzance and Constantinople, will host the 6th edition of the Art Show, which follows stops in Paris, New York, Berlin, London and Madrid.
The exhibition will run from March 29th to April 12th in the MILK Gallery in the lively area of Beyoglu.
The three tattoo artists that will collaborate on the event and make the exclusive tattoos possible for this edition are ROROFROSE , DRAMATIK and ILHAN BILIR.
Surely, there’s no need to explain Burning Ink anymore, which has become a unique event combining the worlds of illustration and tattoo, with a unique and radical concept.
Nobody can buy the original drawings that will be burnt at the end of the exhibition, on the 12th of April, during the closing party. The only way for the drawings to survive the flames is to be bought and inked into the buyers’ skin, making each design live on as a truly unique tattoo.
Bringing together a unique selection of world-renowned street artists, graphic designers and illustrators, Burning Ink is a crossover event between the worlds of fine arts and tattoos.
The list of participating artists will be announced soon… During the 5 former editions nearly 50 international artists, tattooer or not, have joined the concept, each ofthem producing one original drawing. Artists such as: Dave Kinsey (USA), Rostarr (USA), Xghetto (Mex), SSUR (USA/RU), Jeykill (FR), Marke Newton (UK), Funkfu (TCH), Fos (UK), Chloé Trujillo (FR/USA), Pablo Iglesias (ES), Prunelle (FR), 123klan (FR), Amélie du Petit Thouars (FR), Clyde Barrow (UK), French (UK), Spoe (FR), Timothée Talard (FR), Ilk (FR), SBTG (SINGAPORE) and many more …
