After a full day of travelling the team met up at different airports during layovers as everybody had to travel from a different home base. The majority got together in Duesseldorf, flew to Munich and picked up two more riders to travel further to Philly/PA. Luckily Tobias and myself had a seat next to Mr. J. Daniels so the flight was full of nice conversations.
There we had 3 hours of stress incl. 4!!! security checks each and finally made it to our connecting flight to State College/PA. Unfortunately without a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.
Arriving in Woodward/PA after a short drive we met up with Axel Jurgens and Ben Hennon who warmed up the rooms already - YES!!!! Camp Woodward, here we are. Rosario, Axel's wife, even welcomed us with two awesome cakes, we were super stoked on that.
Later that night I picked up Alessandro Barbero who flew directly from Milano/Italy. For some reasons 3 out of 8 people had bags missing, I guess US Airways are really into Eastpak G-Turns and Arround the World Bike Bags. But yeah, all of them showed up, only Hannu had to suffer two days without a bike.
