When you have the opportunity to visit Camp Woodward you take it right? Some of our team riders were thinking about going in early 2007 anyway to get in shape so why not add one or two riders more and make a fine trip?! Then there was this invite from our friend
Ryan Nyquist to check out Greenville and the infamous Unit and the trip was settled!! So in March 07 Eastpak teamriders
Ben Hennon, Hannu Cools, Tobias Wicke , Alessandro Barbero, Ben Shenker, Axel Jurgens, Bruno Hoffmann and
Jean Marie Baertsch , Achim Kujawksi and
myself packed the bags,

bought the tickets and of we were off to the country of unlimited possibilities... You can imagine how exited
Bruno our youngster with 14 years of age was to travel for the first time to the US.

After a full day of travelling the team met up at different airports during layovers as everybody had to travel from a different home base. The majority got together in Duesseldorf, flew to Munich and picked up two more riders to travel further to Philly/PA. Luckily Tobias and myself had a seat next to
Mr. J. Daniels so the flight was full of nice conversations.

There we had 3 hours of stress incl. 4!!! security checks each and finally made it to our connecting flight to State College/PA. Unfortunately without a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.

Arriving in Woodward/PA after a short drive we met up with
Axel Jurgens and
Ben Hennon who warmed up the rooms already - YES!!!! Camp Woodward, here we are.
Rosario, Axel's wife, even welcomed us with two awesome cakes, we were super stoked on that.
Later that night I picked up
Alessandro Barbero who flew directly from Milano/Italy. For some reasons 3 out of 8 people had bags missing, I guess US Airways are really into Eastpak G-Turns and Arround the World Bike Bags. But yeah, all of them showed up, only
Hannu had to suffer two days without a bike.
