We arrived at the Empire of Dirt late last night. After a 2 hour delay (Easyjet hooray) and a 2 hour drive down to the middle of nowhere, Sascha Richter (Zwanzig Zoll) and I made it to a "hotel" that was built in the year 1300. You can imagine that the internet connection is not the best so we will try to get you updates from the road when we can. If we don't manage to get things online fast, expect a big update on Monday.
That is if the event is taking place. It has been raining last night and it rained this morning making practice on the course a bit difficult. A few riders got to ride a bit of the course during the week and apparently
Gary Young blasted through the top section first try. Most of the riders have not been on the slopestyle BMX course yet and a bit of practice is mandatory on a course with huge jumps, giant curved wallrides both ways and stuff like that.
Latest update is that the course got pretty damaged last night by the rain and they're fixing it at the moment. The plan is to go bowling to kill some time while the course is drying up and being fixed. With all the riders in town that should be a good one.
Again, we'll try to keep you posted from the middle of nowhere down here in the South-West of England. Bear with us, the knights back in the day weren't too down with computers and the internet.
